Intellectual property (IP) protection is a strategic tool in companies’ innovation processes. It is essential to have IP at the centre of a business strategy and to know how to protect a company’s IP rights, even in the early stages of a business’s journey.
Ownership of IP rights gives companies a competitive advantage, helps build financial credibility, enables products to reach global markets and plays a fundamental role in the marketing of a product.
Through this training, EIT Health InnoStars in partnership with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) provides useful information on IP rights and the benefits of IP.
Participants will engage in practical exercises to gain a better understanding of the use of IP rights, and learn how to define a basic IP strategy. Furthermore, the EUIPO will introduce its support services for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and provide free learning materials.
