The Automatics Lab (LAS) located at Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) specializes in Edge AI, Collaborative Robotics, and Medical Device Validation, offering services in medical technology transformation, regulatory guidance, usability assessments, digital pharma, and cybersecurity integration. Our IP tech assets available to integrate proposals include: - An Advanced Natural Interaction Artificial companion (ANIA), which is a technological tool that simplifies the building of digital therapeutics solutions requiring artificial companions to act as motivational agents and mediators between patients and health care professionals in clinical and home settings; - A telemedicine solution that uses robotics to extend the arm of an healthcare provider closer to the patient, featuring haptic, audio and visual feedback and interaction (ROSE). It is currently being used in tele-ultrasound and remote training applications; - A smart sensor mouse (SensIn) that enhances productivity, feeding data to assistive software in an unobtrusive way. Wireless, electrophysiological, and psycho-motor assessments support people, and it's adaptable for diverse purposes (integrates heartbeat, temperature, galvanic skin response and inertial sensors).
