Cristina owns a Ph.D. in telecommunications engineering specialized in biomedicine and she is currently the Managing Director of EIT Health Spain, one of the largest European health innovation initiatives.  She brings a long history in research and management of large international teams in digital health and health transformation.

She combines experience, in four European countries, in public research institutions and the private sector, after working in the European Space Agency, Hewlett Packard, Telefónica I + D and Philips.

In the latter company, she has been director of European Programs in Population Health / TeleHealth and Value Based Care.
