Cem Baydar is a senior strategy and management executive with 20 years of experience in establishing and growing new business operations, incubating capabilities within existing organizations and penetrating international geographies. He has global management experience in four continents including the US, Europe, Middle East and Africa focusing on strategy, merger and acquisitions and business development, and worked with many Fortune 500 companies in the areas of portfolio strategy, commercial effectiveness, sales and marketing management in life sciences, technology and financial industries. Quoted and appeared in Financial Times, CNBC and HBR several times, he is a trusted advisor and key industry expert.

He collaborates with many nonprofit and for-profit organizations in developing the startup community at the Advisory Board level, mentor or as an angel investor capacity, focusing on biotech, digital health and medtech verticals.

Cem is currently the Chief Consulting Officer of Evaluate, a global company providing market intelligence services for Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Financial Services Industry.  In that capacity, he works with Pharma companies, VCs and PEs on portfolio and commercial strategy, M&A, due-diligence and strategic advisory. Previously, he spent 11 years at IQVIA, leading the portfolio strategy arm of the consulting business in EMEA.  He has helped pharma and healthcare companies on the issues of market entry, establishing sustainable growth, M&A, due-diligence, commercial strategy and portfolio structuring engagements. Prior to that, he has worked at large and boutique consulting companies around the globe on identifying and applying emerging technologies to solve critical business problems,customer-centric strategy development and organisational transformations. Cem earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in Engineering, focusing on the applications of Artificial Intelligence and Evolutionary Computation to solve large-scale complex real-world problems.
