The Merck Emerging Biotech prize will offer the winner the opportunity to take their first steps towards clinical manufacturing together with Merck. During a visit to Merck’s M Lab facility*, they will be able to experience first-hand what it takes to produce a biopharmaceutical at a GMP level. Through consultations with Merck experts, they will identify the challenges they face to reach this level. They will then be given the opportunity to tackle those challenges together with Merck’s process development scientists, creating protocols and performing trials to find the solution that best fits their needs.
