Joao Ribas is a Senior Associate at Novo Holdings, a world-leading life science investor. He invests in early-stage biotech companies and helps build disrupting biotech startups in Europe, served from Novo Holdings’ Copenhagen office.Joao received his Ph.D. from the University of Coimbra and performed his research in bioengineered at Harvard Medical School & Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He mentored healthcare startups and taught innovation methodologies around the world and co-foundeda medical device company. He started his VC career at M Ventures before joining the Novo Seeds team at Novo Holdings. He is a Board Member at Tribune Therapeutics and a Board Observer at Draupnir Bio, Biosyntia, and AMRA Medical.Joao is passionate about empowering entrepreneurs and startups to succeed. He currently hosts and runs a podcast series interviewing biotech thoughts leaders on the technologies and ideas that will shape our future.
