Joana started her career with a PhD in Biochem Eng at UCL. She did several science communication and entrepreneurship activities. She worked for MedCity leading the Investment Hub, a program that connects potential investors together with life sciences start-ups aimed at new and experienced investors. She has grown the network from 200 to over 400 members that leveraged over £30M in investment, £6.5M from the network. She is currently an investor in a fund of funds at the British Patient Capital evaluating and managing a portfolio of Life Sciences funds.
