Attila Sik was educated as a neurobiologist and received his PhD from the Semmelweis University. He worked over 20 years outside Hungary (USA, Canada, UK) and became a Chair in neuroscience in 2007. He started to be interested in management, creativity, innovation and leadership while he lived in the UK and received an MBA degree from the prestigious Warwick Business School in 2014. He also received a diploma from the Institute of Directors (London) and became a certified company director. He currently studying for his second PhD in Business and Economics focusing on regional development and innovation. He published over 70 scientific articles and several book chapters, teaches in Hungary, China, and the UK both in the field of management and neuroscience, and lectures in Arts as well. His multidisciplinary interest together with the realisation that the cooperation of the academic, business and society sectors generates greatĀ economicalĀ and social values encouraged him to establish the Institute of Transdisciplinary Discoveries in Pecs, Hungary. He obtained over 20M Euro founds during his career and editorial board member of numerous scientific journals. He is the lead of the EIT Health RIS Hub in Hungary since 2018.
