Francesc Iglesias

President of the Governing Board | EIT Health Spain

Graduated in Economics; Master in Hospital Management and PADIS from IESE.  He has developed his professional career in the field of health management, strategic and organizational consulting, and Public Health Administration. 

In terms of management, he has held various management positions at different centers of the public healthcare network of Catalonia: Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, ​​Hospital San Juan de Dios of Esplugues, Assistant Services of Badalona and Health Consortium of Anoia, in the latter two as Manager.  

He has been Employer Manager at the Health and Social Consortium of Catalonia, as well as Executive Director of International Consulting in projects financed by the World Bank and the Ibero-American Development Bank, in Venezuela and Costa Rica, in addition to the realization and support of other projects in Honduras, Guatemala, and Colombia. 

He has collaborated as Executive Advisor in the Cabinet of the Ministry of Health, in the process of organization, decentralization and cohesion of the National Health System  

In the last twelve years of his professional career, he has carried out managerial tasks for the Catalan Institute of Health, ICS, having been Director of Organization and Systems at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, Director of Innovation at the Vall d'Hebron Research Foundation, and its representative in the ITEMAS National Innovation Network, Assistant to the Management of the strategic alliance between ICS and the Healthcare Institute of Girona, and  Assistant to the Management of the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital.  

Francesc is currently Assistant to the Management at the Catalan Institute of Health ICS, president of the Governing Board of EIT Health Spain, Manager of the ICTUS Foundation and President of the Association Overcoming the ICTUS of Barcelona.  He collaborates in different internal and external initiatives, both as a speaker and as a teacher, in the areas of innovation, strategy, quality and organizational development.
