Former President of the Governing Board | EIT Health Spain

Enrique Javier is Full Professor of biomedical engineering at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, in Madrid, where he is also Head of the PT and Bioengineering Department, director of the Bioengineering and Telemedicine Research Group, and director of the MSc in Biomedical Engineering.

Former president of the Governing Board of EIT Health Spain, he has been recently appointed President of the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering.

His publications amount to 180 journal scientific articles and 364 publications in international and national congresses and he is PI of 51 national and international research projects.

His current research interests include image-guided surgery and neurorehabilitation engineering. He is also a founder member of the European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering and Science (EAMBES), an honorary life member of the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE), and member of the Scientific Advisory Council (CCA) of the Gadea Foundation for the promotion of science in Spain.
