Christian is a business and innovation executive in the biotech, health, and pharma sectors, with 20 years of international advisory and operational experience in business strategy, development, fundraising, and capital formation for tech transfer, start-ups, industry, and VC funds in the US and Europe.  He has deep cross-functional sector expertise and an exceptional international network of key innovation stakeholders from industry, finance, start-ups & research.

Over the past decade, he has advised EU institutions as well as governments on 3 continents, on technology transfer and innovation strategy, spin-out/start-up and business creation funding programs and portfolios, business development and market engagement training, and biotech sector economic development.

His commitment to supporting bio-health innovation has resulted in a long track record of new network development and initiatives to drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and stakeholder engagement, including:  

• Lead a turn-around of Europe's oldest and largest biotech federation from near bankruptcy to 5x total revenues, the launch of a new journal and the most successful edition ever of its European congress.
• Engagement by European trade associations for the pharmaceutical and venture capital industries to broker collaborations with peer stakeholder groups in biotech and tech transfer.
• Recruited by the European Commission to as lead moderator and “rapporteur” for the European Commission’s 3 year strategic “Innovation in Healthcare” initiative to recruit KOLs from industry, venture capital fund, growth biotech, and technology transfer, chair discussions and submit recommendations on innovation funding policy, including recommendations which contributed to the creation of the SME instrument (EASME)
• Coordinated the first European level entrepreneur training bootcamp for biotech founders/CEOs.
• Led the first European biotech investment forum initiative in collaboration with the EC and EASDAQ (now Euronext).
• Co-Founded the TTS Global Initiative providing access to key experts and decision-makers in IP, industry BD&L, and investment for over 2000 bio & tech TTOs & CEOs world-wide.
• Speaker & KOL panel chair for discussions on tech transfer, business development, partnering & raising capital for key bio-health innovation stakeholder meetings with over 50 leading institutions and organizations worldwide, from A*STAR Singapore to the Pasteur Institute, and from CORFO Chile to the NIH.

Christian speaks English, French, and Spanish, and currently leads Broadreach Global’s advisory as well as chairing the Confluence Innovation global bio-health innovation community and by-invitation event series and investor roadshows with leading European, US, and Asian health sector investors.
