Lucien operates globally at the convergence of Innovation & Strategy for executive boards, governments, corporates, and professionals via his company Transform.Health and via his (part-time) role as Global Strategist Digital health for Deloitte’s Center for the Edge (Amsterdam, Melbourne, and San Francisco) where he leads Global Digital Health.

He is also Faculty at Exponential Medicine (since 2011) at Singularity University in Silicon Valley, and in The Netherlands and is in high demand as a global keynote speaker on the Future of health and the future of work.

He is the former (founding) director of the well known REshape Center at Radboud University Medical Center and advisor to the Board of Directors (2007-2018). His experience in healthcare (Ambulance Services, Dispatch centers, Academical Medical Center and numerous boards) brought him on the forefront of health(care) innovation for the past 3 decades.

His modus operandi is always challenging, ‘sometimes’ provocative but always techno-realistic. His goal is to prepare for “a soft landing into the future, by bringing tomorrows problems to today”, meanwhile creating sustainable global health(care) for all.

As a public speaker in his (100+ yearly) keynotes, he touches on how the intersection of technology and (patient) empowerment is creating momentum for delocalization of healthcare, and the shift of (more) data in the hands of patients, through technology corporates, will change the way we do clinic trails. His global travel also gives him the opportunity to hear and learn from innovators cross the world and connecting them and the dots.

As the initiator of the #patientsincluded charter to encourage the involvement of patients, family, and informal care in conferences, journals, government and research he strives for inclusiveness and actual co-creation from the get-go. He will always provoke, inspire and challenge the audience. As a pre-read one could read some of his blogs on his Linkedin Influencer page with over 825.000 followers.
Succeeding his former books in Spring 2018 his new book Augmented health(care): “the end of the beginning” was launched in Barcelone, Spain during the HIMSS conference where he also keynoted and acted as the Master of Ceremony for the other keynotes.
