The EIT Regional Executive Academy edition 2021 in Hungary aims to explore existing and potential collaborations between EIT, KICs, National and Regional Authorities, Industry, and further Hungarian stakeholders to jointly implement the Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) in Hungary.
The participants of Regional Executive Academy will gain an overview about the mission of EIT, the EIT Community in Hungary and beyond, an insight into best practices on how to create and implement regional and EU projects in business, research, and education.
The EIT Regional Executive Academy 2021 organized by EIT Health will focus on showcasing collaboration opportunities and how to implement activities towards the Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3) in Hungary. EIT Health was established in 2015, as a ‘knowledge and innovation community’ (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). The KICs strengthen cooperation among businesses, higher education institutions, and research organizations, form dynamic pan-European partnerships, and create favourable environments for creative thought processes and innovations to flourish, focusing on different societal challenges. The Regional Executive Academy provides its participants a unique opportunity to become part of an exciting international community of policymakers and stakeholders. Within the EIT community participants exchange information on technological innovations, discuss good practices, as well as barriers, in strengthening innovation ecosystems.
On the first day of the online event on 6th December 2021 invited speakers will exchange on EIT and EIT KICs mission and Smart Specialisation Strategies in Hungary. The aim is to showcase good examples of collaborations with regional authorities and stakeholders in Hungary.
The second half-day online event on 7th December has a focus on national, transnational, and EU funding opportunities for collaborations within the priorities of Smart Specialisation Strategies in Hungary. EIT stakeholders will present success stories within these funding opportunities, which will be completed by a roundtable focussing on “Innovation through cooperation”. The event will be fully held in English.
