For EIT Labelled Programmes Graduates:

As a Graduate, what is the registration deadline?

For Graduates of the EIT Health Label Degree programmes, the registration to attend the Career Pathway: From Students to Innovators event will be opened from 2 September and will close on 8 November 2024 at 12pm CET.

Participants will receive an invitation email that will include the link to register to the event. If you have not recieved the email and link, please contact Carolina Sabate.

Once I complete the registration process, how long does it usually take to receive the grant?

We will start processing all registrations from 31st October onwards, which is when the Graduates' registration period closes.

Once we process your registration, we will send to you and to the EIT Health Legal representative a Subgrant Agreement (SGA) to be digitally signed. The money transfer will be initiated after the Subgrant Agreement is signed by both parties.

We highly recommend that you book your flight and accommodation as soon as possible – even before receiving the subgrant (400€)

Once you register for the event, if your name has been provided by your Local Coordinator, your participation is confirmed and the grant secured.

If I register as a Graduate after the registration deadline, what are the implications?

Unfortunately, as a Graduate, it’s not possible to register after 31 October 2024.

Do I have to attend both days? Or, as a Graduate, is it also possible to attend only the graduation celebration?

You'll be expected to be present both days, not just the Graduation ceremony.

We've planned an incredibly interesting agenda, full of exciting activities for you to actively participate in and engage with.

Check out the Agenda.

Is there a requirement to provide justification for grant usage and collect invoices, receipts, or other documentation?

You are required to attend the event making good use of the public funds. You might be requested to share your travel expenses, please do not submit them, but just keep the receipts in an online format.

If I live in Budapest, am I eligible to receive the subgrant?

Please note that if you reside in Budapest, you won't receive the subgrant to cover travel and accommodation costs.

If I do not utilize the entire grant amount, will I be expected to return the remaining funds?

No, if you don't use the full amount of the grant, you don't have to return the remaining funds.

What happens if I register, receive the grant, but later find that I cannot attend?

If you register on time and receive your grant but are unable to attend, you will be required to return it.

Is it possible to attend with my family or local i-Days organiser?

In order to prioritise student participation, networking and active engagement in the event and its planned activities (such as workshops, lectures and panel discussions), it is not feasible for family members, only one local i-Days organiser per city as observer would be accepted if they register to the event.

Additionally,  due to the anticipated high number of participants, there are limitations on venue capacity.

What would be the pitching structure? Same timings and evaluation criteria as at the local i-Days event I attended?

The pitches for semifinals and finals rounds should be 8 minutes per team consisting of a presentation of 4 minutes followed by 3 minutes for Q&A from jury members followed by a minute to change between teams.

There will be 3 semifinal sessions running in parallel, and the best two teams from each will be invited to pitch at the Final.

The evaluation criteria will be the following:

  • Understanding: How well did the team understand the healthcare challenge, the needs of users and the strengths/weaknesses of their solution?
  • Teamwork: How well did the team work together and also showcase their individual contributions?
  • Skills: What was the quality of the design thinking and innovation competences demonstrated by the team in explaining their proposed solution?
  • Pitching: How well did the team organise the pitch, communicate their ideas and respond to questions?
  • Professionalism: How well did the team conduct themselves in a manner which was professional and appropriate to the world of work?

The scoring will go from 5 very well developed, 4 well developed, 3 OK, 2 in need of development and 1 very underdeveloped for each of the 5 criteria, summing up a maximum of 25 points per pitch.

Should we send the pitch deck in advance? In which format and to whom?

We encourage your team to be creative with your slides. But please bear in mind that the presentation slides must be sent in Power Point AND ALSO  PDF format to Lorena González no later than Sunday, 24 November via email. Presentations received after this date will not be accepted.

Please note that the pitch deck sent in PDF format will be the one displayed on the screen during the event, with no exceptions and thus, videos are not permitted.

No changes will be allowed between the semi-finals and the finals.

Will I get a certificate of participation?

Yes, once you have completed the feedback survey you will receive a certification of participation in the event. The feedback survey will be emailed to you following the conclusion of the event.
